The scar may not be a problem either. If you received the suture method for double fold formation of upper eyelid, there would be no visible scar. But if you had puffy upper eyelid, incision method would be the treatment of choice and there might have been some fine scar(pink in color) over the upper eyelid for about 3 to 12 months. After then, the scar would be mature and looked like the appearance of normal skin fold if your doctor repaired the wound meticulously.

Dear Mike: The operative time for the "permanant and scarless non-incisional technique" is within one hour and for the "incisional technique" is one and a half hours. For male patient, I would like to use non-incisional technique as possible because such operation can create more natural double eyelids, and I think it's so embarassing for a man to have any scar which may result from incisional technique over the upper eyelid, even for a few months, isn't it? u have mentioned that there must be differences in 'true'and 'articficial' double eyelids and i would like to know what's the difference?

There is no absolute difference between the true and artificial double eyelids for a well-experienced surgeon. On the one hand, the shape of double eyelids created by "incisional technique" may be different from the natural ones, but it would not necessarily be "artificial" or "unnatural". On the other hand, the double eyelids created by "non-incisional technique" may have not any difference from the true ones.

i would like to know how many patients have u treated in this operation?is that necessary to take a photo before and after each operation?

I have performed the "permanant and scarless non-incisional technique" to treat more than 400 patients in 4 more years. It is our routine to take the photos before and after the surgery for documentation. But I will never show such photos if patient insisted not to.
