Questions...
WeWe
Dear Dr. Yang:
How are you? This is WeWe. I posted a question regarding my
acne scars/spots on my back on your website′s message board.
I also have some questions regarding your endoscope breast
enlargement procedure.
1. Currently, I live in the US. From reading the message board′s
messages, it seems your patients outside of Taiwan only sent you
information before they did the surgery. If this is true, then what
do you need in order to determine whether I am a good candidate and what
kind of breast shapes are good for me?
2. How long does it take to schedule a surgery appointment? Is late
January or February too soon?
3. How long should I plan to stay in Taiwan for the surgery?
4. Should I have someone with me during the first week after the surgery
to take care of me?
5. Anything else that I need to know?
Thank you!
WeWe
P.s. You can respond in Chinese. I can read Chinese, I just can′t type.

Dear Wewe:
There are something important to know before your going to Taiwan:
It's better to notice me one to two months before the time you are planning to receive the breast enlargement surgery, or else my operation schedule may be too tight to arrange appointment for you. So if you are going to receive such operation in January or February, it’s the time to contact with me right now. When your operation date has been fixed up, I suggest you to visit my office one or two days before the surgery, then you can do the final check including the face to face consultation, physical examination and basic laboratory survey for your health condition. My planning and idea for your future breasts will be discussed in this appointment.
The laboratory survey includes chest X-ray and blood examination. If the blood test or chest X-ray showed evidence of a certain disease which may endanger your life during the surgery, the operation will surely be discontinued, but the probability is quite low if you have been generally healthy.
The medical diseases that may preclude you from breast enlargement surgery are the followings:
1. Uncontrolled hypertension
2. Diabetes
3. Severe heart disease
4. Clotting disorder of blood such as hemophilia
Besides, if you had a flu with cough, fever and sputum, the operation might be deferred until your symptoms improved.
Regarding to your payment, the cost of breast augmentation is 165,000NT$ for endoscopic surgery, but you will have 5000NT$ discount if you pay in cash. The account should be paid in full before the operation being performed.
Because the endoscopic breast augmentation is less painful and is easier and quicker to recover than the traditional operation, it is not necessary to have someone else with you in Taiwan. You had better stay in Taiwan for ten days to two weeks in order to be followed up closely in my office. After this period, you may return to work comfortably. But you have to persistently do the expansion exercise of breasts, the procedure will be instructed detailedly after the surgery, for at least 6 months to prevent the possibility of "capsular contracture" of breast implant. You also have to mail me about your postoperative progress and ask me questions whenever you are doubting about what happened to your breast or axillary scar or anything about the operation, even the trivial ones, so as to avert unnecessary sequelae. If you indeed do so, I think the result would still be contolled within the good to excellent level despite you are not able to be regularly examined by me in Taiwan.
Please give me a notification including your name, phone number, period you are planning to stay in Taiwan and the preferred date to do the operation, etc. whenever you made up your mind.
It's encouraging to receive an oversea message here, and I am glad to answer more questions for you in the future.
Best regards
